About the service
First you will be required to submit a request form. You can choose to have your
equipment collected by us or deliver/post it to us yourself.
Payment will then be taken by one of our sales representatives.
Once received, your equipment is logged onto our computer system and taken to
the secure destruction area. Access to this area is strictly prohibited and
available only to authorised staff that have key coded access.
Once your data is destroyed (if applicable), your equipment is made ready for
recycling.
When this process is complete you will be sent by email a Certificate of
Destruction and Recycling.
The process usually takes on average, around 5 working days from receipt of
your equipment.

R&R will accept nearly all types of computer equipment for disposal
including:
Computer base units, laptops, hard disk drives, laser printers, inkjet
printers, flat-panel monitors, CRT monitors, keyboards and mice.

Please contact one of our sales representatives to discuss pricing for your
requirements.

All processing areas at R&R are protected with swipe-card or key code entry
systems. Access to these areas is strictly limited to our own 'security
cleared' staff.
^ top
A foolproof inventory system exists by assigning a unique code to each piece of
equipment received. These numbers stay with the equipment throughout the
recycling process & form part of the certification returned to customers.

All items containing data are logged on our computer system and held in a secure
area of our facility. This area is strictly limited to our own 'security
cleared' staff.
We guarantee permanent destruction of data in compliance with NHS SyOP 7.13,
BS7799 and the Data Protection Act 1998.

No, R&R will not look to see what data is held on hard drives. No data is
visible to any party at any step of the process.
^ top
Put simply, such electronics should be recycled to avoid damage to the
environment; conserve natural resources & to prevent innocent people &
companies becoming victims of crime through identity theft and fraud.
^ top
You may feel that's an easy option but there are costs to you via Local
Authorities having to collect this waste. There are also costs to you, your
family & friends in that such electronics contain pollutants that can leach
into water & soil, which can affect anybody. Finally, just dumping your
computer system leaves you wide open to become a victim of identity theft.

Orders / Ordering
You can place an order for our services by completing our simple disposal quote
request form.
Tell us about the different types of equipment you have for disposal and we
will provide a total price for the service.
You may then continue and place your order by providing your contact details.
You can pay for your order with either credit/debit card over the phone. If
required we can collect your equipment or you can deliver/post it to us
yourself.
^ top
For smaller/lighter items it may be cost-effective for you to send your
equipment to us by Royal mail (view their postal service tariff guide here).
Or for a hassle-free, door-to-door service we can arrange for a courier to
collect your equipment directly from your home or place of work (a fee is
charged for this service).
Alternatively, you can deliver it yourself to our recycling centre.
^ top
If possible, package your items together securely and label with our address
below.
If you can not package the items together, address them individually and
clearly mark each one to indicate the number of packages e.g. 1 of 2, 2 of 2
etc.
Note: If sending by Royal Mail, postage will be more expensive for multiple
packages.
Please include a copy of your order when sending your equipment. At a minimum,
write your order number clearly on each of your items/packages

We will provide you with a Certificate of Destruction and Recycling, showing

Computers and related equipment contain several wastes that cannot be 'just
dumped' into a landfill site. These have to be specially handled & recycled
to minimise any harm to the environment.
